Below is a list of community building events that are organized and run by Schoolhouse families!

Halloween Party
Come join us for some frightfully good fun at our annual Halloween Party! Families come on campus to enjoy a Halloween Fair, with games, art activities, and music. This is a potluck so please bring something to share.* Don’t forget to wear your costume!**
Fall Celebration
A Schoolhouse Family Picnic (for current families only) to celebrate the start of fall and welcome new families to the school! Bring a lunch for your family, blankets, balls, frisbees, hula hoops, and any other fun items you like. ~September
Winter Lights Celebration
Our annual Winter Lights Celebration and potluck* celebrates the Winter Solstice. Started by the school’s founding teachers, Schoolhouse families come together to eat, sing, and laugh. There will be art projects and a musical performance. The evening ends with a lantern ceremony. And for the students, Pajama Day is the next day! ~January
Pancake Breakfast
With games, face painting, and plenty of (nut free) pancakes (with gf options) for all, the Pancake Breakfast - now in its 12th year - is an event that celebrates community and family fun. Students, parents, relatives, friends, prospective families, and teachers and their families are all invited. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 5 and over, and under 5s are free. All money raised at the door goes to Schoolhouse to cover the cost of putting on the event. ~February
Spring Celebration
This is the mirror event to the fall picnic, celebrating the spring equinox. Two inspiring parents also added a book swap component last year. Bring your own lunch, picnic blanket, and some balls or other outdoor toys! ~March
Welcome Party & Transition Night
Schoolhouse hosts a welcome event for new families, while also having teachers present to new and current families about the next school year. Current families and new families mingle, eat great food, and begin to bond over children, summer, and the school year to come. ~May
Hang-out (Grades 6-8)
Hang-out is a social event specifically for the oldest Schoolhouse students (grades 6-8). The kids and maybe the parents (who will stand a good distance away) will come together to celebrate the year! Possible events include bowling, miniature golf, or spending time at a board game studio. ~ May
