Jen Cort, LCSW and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Educator joins San Francisco Schoolhouse Head of School and Filmmaker, Carol Swainson for a pragmatic workshop in which adults have an opportunity to practice how to handle conversations about racism and similar topics with the goal of eliminating racism and raising just children.

This interactive gathering will feature excerpts from Carol's upcoming documentary, Conversations With My White Child as a springboard for small group discussions and learning. This workshop is for any parent, caregiver, child advocate, educator, or school administrator engaged in social justice conversations with children and youth, providing useful tools for your social justice toolkit and the invaluable wisdom that comes through the experiential practice of vulnerability in difficult conversations. As social scientist and author Brené Brown reflects, we must be brave, awkward and kind.
